The Basics of Renting a U-Haul

To make sure your move is as seamless as possible, it is helpful to follow these steps when renting a U-Haul:

  1. Determine the truck size you need: Figure out exactly what you plan to move. Create an inventory to ensure that all your belongings will fit. At The Storage Place, we can help you determine which size is best for you based on the items you plan to move.
  2. Determine the dates you need the truck: Figure out the dates you plan to use the truck and how long you will need it. Then, contact The Storage Place to make your reservation. The earlier in advance you can do this, the more likely it is that you will get the size you need.
  3. Request additional equipment: Will you need a dolly or other supplies for your move? If so, request it ahead of time to make sure it is available.

Following these steps can help to ensure you have everything you need on the day of your move. If you have any questions, The Storage Place can provide the answers you need. We can also provide information about the storage units we offer.

How do I extend my U-Haul rental?

If you have to extend your U-Haul rental, there could be additional costs. Once you realize you need to extend the reservation, reach out to our team. We can look up the availability and let you know if you can keep the rental longer than planned.

Our team will do everything possible to ensure you have the U-Haul rental for as long as you need it.
